Summer weekends fill up early, so reach out as soon as you have a date in mind!
When you hire a lifeguard for your pool party or family event, you are making a decision about whether the children in that water are being watched by a professional or simply supervised. That distinction matters more than most people realise until they need it to.
We hold current National Lifeguard (NLS) certification, Standard First Aid, and CPR-C. These are not casual summer training courses. The NLS is the professional credential required by public pools, recreation centres, and aquatic facilities across Canada. It involves countless hours of training in water surveillance, emergency response, and rescue technique. Standard First Aid and CPR-C mean that if something goes wrong on land or in the water, we know exactly what to do, immediately.
We are not someone who completed a course on a weekend. We have real experience guarding professional aquatic environments, including responding to actual emergencies in the water. That is not something you get from a training manual. We have been there when it counted.
What that means for you at your event: you can actually be present. Have a conversation. Enjoy the day. We are watching the water. That is our only job for the duration of the shift.

Backyard pools are where drowning incidents most commonly occur. Hiring a professional changes that risk profile entirely.
According to the Lifesaving Society, over 400 Canadians drown every year, and backyard pools account for a significant portion of child drowning deaths. Most incidents happen in seconds, in the presence of adults. A trained lifeguard whose only job is watching the water is not a luxury. It is the difference.
Standard First Aid and CPR-C means that if anything goes wrong, your lifeguard has the skills to respond immediately and correctly until emergency services arrive. Not optional. A baseline requirement, at all times.
Years in professional aquatic environments, real emergencies responded to, and swim instruction across all levels. Not just someone who passed a course. Someone who has actually been there when it counted.
You planned this. You should get to enjoy it. When a credentialed professional is watching the water, your attention can be on your guests, your kids, and the moment. That mental load belongs to the lifeguard, not you.
Swim Next Door is fully insured. You are not just getting a certified lifeguard, you are getting professional coverage you can actually rely on. That is the standard we hold ourselves to at every event we guard.
